1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DexaVault ("the Service") at dexavault.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
DexaVault is a web application that processes DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) body composition scan PDF reports using artificial intelligence and presents extracted metrics in a personal health dashboard. The Service includes body composition analysis, a Metabolic Health Score, AI-generated summaries, insights, and personalised recommendations.
3. Not Medical Advice
The information provided by DexaVault — including AI-generated summaries, scores, insights, risk flags, and action plans — is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified healthcare provider.
Always consult a licensed physician or healthcare professional before making changes to your diet, exercise routine, medication, or supplement regimen. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on DexaVault.
4. AI Accuracy
DexaVault uses artificial intelligence to extract metrics from your DEXA scan PDF. While we strive for accuracy, the AI may occasionally misread, fail to extract, or incorrectly interpret data — particularly from unusual report formats, low-quality scans, or unsupported machine types.
Always refer to your original DEXA report from your imaging provider for clinical decisions. DexaVault's extracted data is a convenience tool and should not be relied upon as a definitive record of your results.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Only upload DEXA scan PDFs that belong to you or that you have explicit permission to upload
- Provide accurate information including your email address
- Not attempt to circumvent payment, access controls, or security measures
- Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Not upload malicious files or attempt to exploit the Service
6. Payment and Refunds
DexaVault charges a one-time fee per package:
- Single Scan — $4.99 (1 upload credit)
- Progress Pack — $14.99 (4 upload credits)
- Lifetime Vault — $49 (unlimited uploads)
Payments are processed by Stripe and are non-refundable once a scan has been successfully processed. If the AI fails to parse your PDF due to a technical error on our part, contact support@dexavault.io within 7 days and we will re-process your scan or refund your credit at our discretion.
7. Your Data
You retain ownership of your health data. By uploading a DEXA scan, you grant DexaVault a limited licence to process and store the extracted data for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your health information and do not share it with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and features of DexaVault — including but not limited to the Metabolic Health Score methodology, AI prompts, and dashboard design — are the intellectual property of DexaVault and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-extracted data will be accurate or complete. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DexaVault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated health information, loss of data, or decisions made based on dashboard results.
Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
